OLENS GLOBAL SCANDI COLLECTION REVIEW

If you weren't aware many asian women/ women in general have been using colored contacts to accentuate their eyes! I myself started using colored brown contacts since I was in high school, and have continued to use them ever since. Many k-pop idols have been using colored contacts for stages and everyday use.

By brands, I've been using OLENS GLOBAL for around two years now. I switched from ACUVUE define products because I felt like the lenses were drying my eyes, and needed a better solution. I came across OLENS GLOBAL in South Korea as they have many stores there where you can try out contacts. My favorites immediately went to "Choco Brown" and "Vivi Ring Choco" for daily wear.

Many women are venturing out of their comfort zones to try different natural colored contacts for their eyes, and I had the privilege to be gifted the OLENS GLOBAL SCANDI COLLECTION to try them out and review them so that you can purchase the right colored contacts for you!

[Here are some things I look for when it comes to everyday colored contacts]:

1. G.DIA- Graphic Diameter. This is how large the contacts coloration is. The small the G.DIA, normally the less noticeable the colors are. I like contacts with G.DIA with a range from 11.8-13.0mm.

2. Breathability - Several colored contacts can make your eyes get dry super fast, so it's important to check the ingredients used to make the contact! I love products using PUSCON+.

3. Eye Power - There are several colored contact options that match your prescription. It's important to find contacts that feel good and enhance your vision.

I would like to say that for this collection, these contacts are more specialized and much more colorful. If you are looking for very natural, hardly noticeable, colored contacts to start out with, I would recommend "Vivi Ring Choco" or "Choco Brown" or colors that match your eyes.

HAZEL:

ABOUT: These are the upgraded versions of the Spanish collection. These are Black Pink Jisoo's pick. They use 1 day premium "Puscon" moisture. Natural and cozy.

PROS: I loved the ethereal vibe hazel gives. It softens your image and brightens your complexion.

CONS: Hazel isn't very natural looking in the light, but can definitely be used for photoshoots to really elevate a look.

Pattern: Natural rippling

Color: Yellow and golden brown colors

Size: G.DIA 11.9mm

Comfort: 8/10

AQUA:

ABOUT: These are a new color of the Scandi line. These were used by Black Pink's Lisa and Jisoo in their "Ice cream: MV. Chic and stylish.

PROS: Aqua gave me instant "Irene Kim" vibes from popular k-pop group Red Velvet. I loved how it made my eyes stand out so much, and I would definitely choose this contact for photo shoots!

CONS: This contact is also a bit unnatural looking, and I highly recommend for use in dark lighting or photoshoot settings.

Pattern: Natural rippling and faded ring

Color: Aqua blue, slight green/turquoise and golden brown colors

Size: G.DIA 11.9mm

Comfort: 8/10

LIGHT GREY:

ABOUT: These are a new color of the Scandi line. These were used by Black Pink's Lisa in their "Ice Cream" MV. Chic and Stylish.

PROS: These contacts instantly reminded me of Marilyn Monroe. They add a bit of old times looks to your eyes, while also providing you that photo shoot wonder eyes.

CONS: These were my least favorite out of the contacts, due to how I felt it didn't match my skin tone/face. They were fairly unnatural looking in broad day light. However, I truly think they would look great with carefully styled hair and makeup!

Size: G.DIA 11.9mm

Comfort: 8/10

GRAY:

ABOUT: These are the upgraded versions of the Spanish collection. These are Black Pink Jennie and Lisa's pick. They use 1 day premium "Puscon" moisture. Natural and chic.

PROS: These were so much more natural looking than the light grey contacts, and I even felt that I could wear these every day. These contacts really add depth into your eyes, and highlight in a way that is not too burdening. Definitely recommend if you like gray!

CONS: I do think these are still a little noticeable in the light, so although not completely natural looking, with makeup and styling I think these would really make you stand out in a beautiful way.

Comfort: 8/10

OLIVE:

ABOUT: These are the upgraded versions of the Spanish collection. These are Black Pink Rose's pick. They use 1 day premium "Puscon" moisture. Natural and chic.

PROS: These were my favorite out of all the contacts in this collection! I loved the subtle tones the olive gave to my eyes, and these were by far the most natural looking. I even wore these out to go shopping for the day in.

CONS: These may feel a bit unnatural starting out, but over time no one noticed I was wearing colored contacts, and I loved the extra glimmer they brought to my eyes.

Comfort: 8/10

OVERALL CONTACT IMPRESSIONS:

I loved trying this collection out, and overall was more excited about the different opportunities of looks and moods I could create with the collection. I felt that these contacts really boost your creativity, and bring about a different side to makeup and styling. I definitely would say that if you are looking for something super natural, these aren't my first pick. If you are looking to expand your creativity and elevate your look, this is definitely a great collection to have!
